Active since 2001, LCARES welcomes volunteers at every level — you don't even need a license to help. Join our weekly net every Sunday at 7 PM (147.345 MHz, PL 156.7) or attend a monthly meeting to learn more. Not everything we do requires a radio.

We offer training programs that equip volunteers with vital communication skills needed during emergencies. This ensures an effective response in critical situations, enhancing overall community safety.

We maintain continuous communication links during emergencies, providing crucial information to responders and the community. Our network ensures that no one is left without support.

LCARES participates in outreach efforts to educate the public about emergency preparedness and communication strategies, ensuring everyone is informed and ready to react.

Events

We organize regular events to foster community ties, improve emergency response skills, and recruit new volunteers. These activities strengthen our collective resilience.
